It has been the cornerstone of our success.

Below, we have outlined, at a high level, two different partner scenarios that resulted in the deployment of two very successful prepaid programmes.

Barclaycard

Adding prepaid to their service offer

In 2007, Barclaycard Business decided to launch a closed loop prepaid solution in the UK . Following a formal procurement process, Card Commerce was selected as the partner of choice to deliver this solution, and the product was rolled out to market in 2008.  Since then we have worked closely with Barclaycard to successfully roll out prepaid programmes for their customers including Trailfinders, Cotton Traders, and British School of Motoring.

Key achievements include:

  • Integrating Card Commerce systems with the standard payment terminal deployed by Barclaycard for credit and debit processing
  • Designing, building and deploying a turnkey solution for Barclaycard merchants from order form signature to card production, transaction processing and reporting
  • Managing all merchant billing collection and settlement on behalf of Barclaycard
  • Successfully managing the service to merchants as white label Barclaycard solution

Fexco Merchant Services

Migrating Existing Merchant Programmes

In 2009, Fexco Merchant Services had a successful merchant gift card programme with over 100 merchant programmes active throughout Ireland and the UK .

However, the business decided that the in-house support model was inappropriate to their needs going forward and sought tenders from external suppliers that could take on the programme.  Effectively this would allow Fexco to outsource the service delivery while maintaining commercial control of the merchant relationships. After a tender evaluation process with several industry providers, Card Commerce was chosen as the best-in-class partner to support their programme going forward.

Key achievements included:

  • Migrating every merchant programme along with all historic transactions – several million transactions and an industry first
  • Integrating the Fexco terminal estate with Card Commerce systems and upgrading all associated merchant terminals
  • Managing the migration of all merchant programmes on a phased basis over three months and ensuring a clean transition to the new service with zero downtime
  • Taking over all merchant gift card billing, collection and settlement processes for Fexco
  • Implementing a new online portal and reporting service for all merchants which drove down Fexco Helpdesk calls from merchants by 90% within 4 weeks of project completion
