Dave Hunter, Managing Director

Dave is a co-founder and Managing Director of Card Commerce.  Prior to founding Card Commerce Dave worked in a variety of roles in the payments industry.  Starting his career in Bank of Ireland where Dave worked in a variety of roles in IT, Corporate and International and, in 1998, he took responsibility for retail electronic payments within the bank. In 1998 he was also appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Irish Retail Electronic Payments Clearing Company, the company that maintains and operates the electronic funds transfer payment, clearing and settlement system for domestic electronic payments.  In 2000 he joined Marrakech, the high profile e-commerce start-up, where he was responsible for the strategy, development and roll-out of all financial products and, in 2002, moved to COMIT Gruppe, a Swiss-based IT Consultancy with a market leading payment franchise. 

In Card Commerce, Dave drives the development and implementation of the corporate strategy, monitors adherence to the legal and regulatory framework within which the company operates and oversees the financial elements of the business. 

Eoin Whyte, Sales Director

Eoin joined Card Commerce in 2006 having previously held senior sales positions in Northgate HR and Dell (UK and Ireland ). While at Northgate, Eoin spearheaded the Irish rollout of their suite of HR software products and services, signing key clients such as Ladbrokes and Ryanair. In Dell, Eoin held a variety of senior sales and management roles culminating in him running the UK SME Sales business, a forty strong team delivering £50m per annum. 

Today, Eoin drives the sales team to deliver cost effective services and solutions to Merchants across the UK and Ireland while, at the same time, developing relationships with acquirers and other alliance partners helping them to bring new products to their customers, increasing satisfaction, driving revenues and differentiating themselves from their competitors.

Paul Gaffney, Service Delivery Director

Paul is a co-founder of Card Commerce but only joined the management team in 2010, with responsibility for Service Delivery.  For the last 7 years Paul has held senior roles within Ci3 and was on the Board of Directors when the business was successfully sold to Wolters Kluwer in September 2008. Ci3 developed 'Sword', an award-winning Risk Management software solution for the financial services industry and, during his time in Ci3, Paul was responsible for project delivery of all Sword projects. Key clients included Zurich Financial Services, Legal & General and Aberdeen Asset Management. In total, Paul has 20 years of experience in project and service delivery roles in the financial services industry.  Prior to Ci3, his roles included Project Management in Flexicom (subsequently taken over by Elavon) and Implementation and Training in Mysis banking systems.

Today, Paul owns the service delivery of our services to partners and merchants.  From card design and fulfilment, through to transaction processing and follow-up customer care, Paul and his team ensure Card Commerce delivers on its service level commitments.  Paul is also responsible for our state-of-the-art production systems and the project management office within Card Commerce. 

Dominic Issartel, Senior Sales Manager

Dominic joined Card Commerce in 2010 and brings with him a wealth of prepaid experience. He started his career with Whitbread PLC and held a number of management roles in Operations, Marketing, HR and Business Development working with brands such as Premier Inn, Brewers Fayre, Beefeater and T.G.I Friday’s. In 2004 he became responsible for Whitbread’s Leisure Voucher programme.  In 2005, Dominic became General Manager of Action Solutions where he worked with a range of high street retail brands and leisure operators providing prepaid and giftcard consultancy services  

Today, based in the UK , he provides valuable sales support and management for our UK Partners. In addition, he is part of the Performance Management Team, helping our customers to understand the benefits associated with prepaid and ensuring that they gain maximum value and benefit from their prepaid and gift card programmes.   

Siobhan Cassidy, Financial Controller

Siobhan joined Card Commerce in 2008 as Financial Controller.  Prior to Card Commerce, Siobhan spent several years working for a large retail chain before gaining further experience in financial and legal administrative roles in Bank of Ireland and Deutsche Bank.

In Card Commerce Siobhan is responsible for the day-to-day financial control of the business, but additionally oversees the delivery of all financial processes we complete on behalf of partners.  This includes billing, collection, reconciliation and management information.  Card Commerce is a BACS approved bureau and Siobhan manages the overall relationship, including the regulatory and legal framework within which services must be delivered.
