Hail the Hospitable Hotel

The week before I was due to arrive there I received an email reminding me of the additional services that the hotel offered including late check-out, breakfast in bed should I require it. This email both gave me comfort that my booking was confirmed and that the hotel was keen to make my stay with them an enjoyable one (point 2 to the hotel). 

 

From the minute I arrived at the hotel no request was too big or too small and a friendly smile and a ‘hello’ was offered by all staff members any time I happened to see one.  It’s funny how it is the little things that improve your consumer experience (point 3 to the hotel)!

 

One thing I also noticed was that their hotel gift card was on display for all guests to see with use of a merchandising poster behind it urging the customer to consider the purchase of one to give the ‘hotel experience’ to someone else as a gift. Cherry on the ‘customer experience’ cake…..

 

I received an e-mail a couple of days after I checked out saying that the hotel hoped that I enjoyed my stay and were keen to hear of any feedback I might have on the hotel. They also pointed me towards their Facebook page and signed me up to their fortnightly newsletter to entice me back again (point four to the hotel).  

 

In fact I was so impressed with the whole experience that I rang the hotel up the other day and ordered a gift card to be delivered to my best friend for her birthday... Here's hoping she takes me with her (Game, set & match to the hotel)!
